Virtual visits, also known as telehealth or telemedicine, have recently expanded to allow more ways for Align Senior Care members to connect with healthcare providers from the safety of their own home. During a virtual visit, you use digital technologies to talk with your provider. This can be done with a phone, tablet, or computer. This way, you’re able to receive treatment options or prescription refills while limiting your exposure to COVID-19.
Virtual care may include in-network virtual visits for medical check-in’s, mental health, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, chiropractic support, in-home health, vision, hearing, and dental services.
Talk to Your Provider From Your Computer, Tablet, or Phone
There are several options for telehealth care:
Talk to your doctor live over the phone or video chat.
Send and receive messages from your doctor using email, secure messaging, and secure file exchange.
Use remote monitoring so your doctor can check on you at home. For example, you might use a device to gather vital signs or other vitals to help your doctor stay informed on your progress.
Common virtual visit care options include:
Lab test or x-ray results
Therapy and online counseling
Recurring conditions like migraines or urinary tract infections
Skin conditions
Prescription management
Urgent care issues like colds, coughs, and stomach aches
